An the Nominies Are...

Last night at nine o'clock the Golden Globe Awards where held in Hollywood, California for all actors and actresses.
There where many talented actors, like Zac Effron and actresses, Jennidfer Lopez, who appeared last night. "Everyone looked wonderful," said Jess Fitzgerald who watched the beginning for the Awards. Most of the dresses worn where vintage and elegant.
Jennifer Lopez presented the best supporting actress award. The nominations were for Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Merly Streep, Kristin Scott Thomas, and the winner Kate Winslet. Tom Cruse presented best motion picture-drama and the nominations were for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, The Reader, Revolutionary Road, and the winner Slumdog Millionaire.
This was the 66th annual Golden Globe Award and there were 50 presenters there. Dont miss the 67th awards next year!!

Best Fashion Weblog

After looking at a lot of the top 2008 blogs i finally picked one i liked! This was voted the Best Fashion Weblog. This blog was unique in a way that most bloggers have never gone before. The person talked about a celebrity and put them on "trial". At the end of explaining thier outfit they had a voting pole going on and showed you who was in the lead. I liked this blog because it was very clever and funny.

Basketball '09

This past vacation was not the best for the East Bridgewater girls varsity basketball team. The girls faced Pembroke on tuesday last week and new they could beat them. Pembroke was not as good as East Bridgewater and was told we would kill them. But the girls came out too easy and were loosing in the second half. The outcome of the game was a loss for East Bridgewater by six points. The girls came into the game with their heads to high and played down to their level. But coming into the new year, 2009 and girls wanted a fresh new start. And that is what they got. Yesterday they played Maspee and won by a outstanding lead. All the girls played well and are excited to start all over. A new year and a new start.

EB Girls Soccer

Today the East Bridgewater girls soccer team are playing in Abington against the Green Wave. The first time we played them we won 4-1. We played on the football stadium. Our record now is 9-3-1. Last week after our Cohasset game we qualified for tourney. We won the Cohasset game 2-1 just like the first time we played them. So hopefully we win today to improve our record!

5 rhetorical devices

One rhetorical device that i am familiar with is an allusion which is a short, informal reference to a famous person or event. Also diacope is the repetition of a word or phrase after an intervening word or phrase as a method of emphasis. Antiphrasis is one word irony, established by context. A Simile is a comparison between two different things that resemble each other in at least one way. The last rhetorical device that i am familiar with is a metaphor compares two different things by speaking of one in terms of the other.

My name is Kelsey and i am seventeen years old. I am a senior at EBHS. I play girls soccer during the fall. I play girls basketball during the winter. The last sport i play for EBHS is tennis in the spring. I hope to go to college and become an elementary school teacher. Also during the winter i ski with my family and friends.
