5 rhetorical devices

One rhetorical device that i am familiar with is an allusion which is a short, informal reference to a famous person or event. Also diacope is the repetition of a word or phrase after an intervening word or phrase as a method of emphasis. Antiphrasis is one word irony, established by context. A Simile is a comparison between two different things that resemble each other in at least one way. The last rhetorical device that i am familiar with is a metaphor compares two different things by speaking of one in terms of the other.
